Happy Thursday y’all! It has been quite the week and I’m running full speed ahead towards the weekend. Once I shared a peak into my room refresh on Instagram I actually received quite a few questions/comments on my hat situation and how I store them. If you’re like me, I seriously forget anything that’s not in front of me so when it comes to hats I’d always forget to break them out from season to season because they’d be stacked on a top row in a closet I didn’t look at daily. I loved the whole boho trend on Pinterest to store hats but wanted to make it as easy as possible for myself (the less DIY the better because HELLO minimal clean up).
Today I wanted to share how I store my hats in a post so it lives somewhere, but once you start reading I think you’ll laugh because it’s literally two simple steps! SO easy anyone can do it. What’s so great about this method is that you can use it anywhere whether you live in an apartment or a dorm room. It really helps to add some color to a space without taking up any room. What do y’all think? Have a great day and thanks for reading!
Step 1. Here’s where you’ll laugh. Literally buy Command Hooks. Command Hooks have been my best friend since college and I used the large white hooks for this. I didn’t attempt it with the smaller hooks, but I learned quickly that these can knock off the wall easily so it’s best to have the larger ones to grip the hat.
Step 2. Space out your hats to your desired spots. I had to play around with the distance between each hat a bit and it’s important to play around before you adhere the Command Hook because anytime you move the hook once it’s been placed it loses it’s adhesive strength.
Step 3. Adhere command hook to the wall and hang your hat! Seriously so simple and takes maybe 10 minutes. It was great for this little corner for me because I don’t have a ton of hats and they took up the space perfectly. Linking the Command Hooks I used below and some of my hats!
