Celine’s Cowboy Boot: The Quiet-Luxury Western Boot for Texas

The most wearable Celine cowboy boots idea for Texas is a pared-down Western boot in a quiet neutral, worn with a midi skirt, tonal black or dark denim instead of a full Western outfit. No heavy stitching, no loud color, just a pointed toe and a clean line. Celine put boots like that on its Fall 2026 runway in dark brown, white and butter yellow, and the one Celine style actually named a Western boot on its US site, the Western Boot in Suede, was $1,500 when we checked. Below are three ways to wear the look, plus how it compares with a classic Texas-made pair.
Fall 2026 was Michael Rider’s third collection for Celine. Vogue Runway’s Sarah Mower described a slimmer, tailored silhouette, with coats and suits worn over cropped kick-flares. Who What Wear noted those flares came with “sharply pointed boots,” and quoted Rider: “Classics is one thing, but we like bite.” In its fall 2026 boot trends report, Marie Claire grouped Celine with Chloé as the houses that “put a pared-down spin” on cowboy boots “with neutral shades.” This guide is part of Runway to Ranch, our series on wearing one runway idea with real Texas boots.

The rule: strip the boot down, keep the outfit polished
A traditional Texas boot shows off. Stitch patterns climb the shaft, the leather is often exotic, and the boot is the loudest thing you’re wearing. Celine went the other way. The boots on the runway were plain, pointed and mostly one color, and they came out with tailored coats, long skirts and sequins rather than denim shirts and belt buckles. Glamour UK described them as “set on a sleek cone heel and buckled with minimalist hardware.”
That is the quiet-luxury version of a cowboy boot, and it works well in Texas because it doesn’t look like you’re dressed for the rodeo. You can wear it to the office, to dinner or to church, and it still reads Western from the toe and the heel.
Keep the Western in the boot’s shape, not its decoration. Pointed toe, clean shaft, quiet color.
Look 1: The cream skirt and dark brown boot
For a Sunday lunch in Fredericksburg, or a gallery night in Fort Worth.

Look 11 paired a cream midi skirt with a black jacket and dark brown pointed boots, plus a bowler hat and a printed scarf carried like a blanket. Skip the bowler. In Texas, the skirt and boot are the part to copy: a cream or ivory midi that falls just past the top of the boot, a fitted black knit or short black jacket, and a brown boot with a pointed or snip toe. A skirt that hits at the boot shaft shows the shape of the toe and heel, which is the whole point of a clean boot.
The formula: a cream midi skirt, a black knit or cropped jacket and dark brown pointed boots.
Look 2: All black with a pale boot
For dinner in Houston, or a work event where jeans are fine but a hat isn’t.

Look 43 dressed the model entirely in black and put her in pale butter-yellow boots, so the boots were the only light thing in the outfit. It’s a simple trick that makes even a plain boot look intentional. The everyday Texas version: black jeans or black trousers, a black sweater, and a bone, stone or tan boot. Celine’s runway flares were cropped above the boot, so if you have a cropped kick-flare, this is the place to wear it.
The formula: black on black, cropped at the ankle, with a bone or stone boot.
Look 3: The sparkle dress, camel trench and white boot
For a Dallas holiday party, or New Year’s Eve in Austin.

Look 32 is the party look: a red sequined midi dress under an open camel trench, with white pointed boots. White boots and sequins can tip into costume fast, but the camel coat keeps it grown-up. If white feels like too much, a cream or bone boot gives the same effect. Keep the jewelry small, since the dress is already doing the sparkle.
The formula: a sequined or beaded midi, a camel trench and white or cream boots.
The Celine Western boot, and a Texas-made pair to compare
When we checked Celine’s US site, we could not match the exact runway pairs to a named boot on a product page. The style Celine does sell as a Western boot is the Western Boot in Suede, in Stone Beige, at $1,500. Celine lists it as calfskin suede with a calfskin lining, a pointed toe, a hidden zip on the inner side with an engraved CELINE PARIS zip puller, and a leather insole and outsole, made in Italy. It was on pre-order when we checked. It sits in Celine’s men’s shoe section, so check the size guide carefully before you order.
For comparison, the Lucchese Savannah in Tan was $645. Lucchese describes it as burnished Mad Dog goat leather and handmade in Texas, and it has a snip toe, a full-height shaft and decorative stitching. These are not the same boot. The Celine is short, suede and nearly bare, and it zips on. The Savannah is the stitched Texas classic, at less than half the price. If you want the quiet Celine look on a Lucchese budget, wear the Savannah with the same plain, polished outfits above and let the leather patina do the talking.

Where to wear it
- Sunday lunch or church in the Hill Country: Look 1, the cream skirt and brown boot
- A dinner in Houston or an office holiday happy hour: Look 2, all black with a pale boot
- A Dallas holiday party or New Year’s Eve: Look 3, the sequins and camel trench
- An everyday Saturday: dark denim, a white tee, a camel coat and any plain neutral boot
Modern, not costume
The quiet version only works if the rest of the outfit stays quiet too. Skip the fringe, the big buckle and the hat, and keep the colors to cream, black, camel and brown. If you like the idea of a Western boot that dresses up, our guide to Saint Laurent’s tuxedo cowboy boots takes it to black tie. And since Marie Claire grouped the two houses together, see how we styled Chloé’s cowboy boots for a softer, more bohemian take.
